A single 30-45 minute treatment session may include dry needling/ acupuncture followed by massage, mobilisation and chiropractic adjustments. Andrew is also a qualified Clinical Pilates instructor and personal trainer, allowing him to prescribe a tailored exercise regimen for specific conditions and injuries.
After seeing approximately 100 patients a week for the last 11 years, he understands that pain and weakness go hand in hand. Weakness in your back or neck may result in pain and vice versa. Because of this, he plans his treatment practices around this common issue that is often overlooked. This is why during a single Chiropractic consultation you may do 15 minutes of prescription exercises in our rehab studio, followed by 15 minutes of hands-on therapy.
Looking after a number of amateur and professional AFL football players, whilst continuing to compete himself on the field for Parade football Club, Andrew has developed a particular interest in “Sports Chiropractic”. Sports Chiropractic is a subspecialty field in Chiropractic for allied health professionals who specialise in working with athletes. The focus of a Sports Chiropractor is to provide conservative treatment that is non invasive to help rehabilitate injured athletes back to a full recovery fast. This approach is applied to all stages of injury management: acute, subacute and chronic.
Finally, he believes healthcare should be accessible to everyone. When making an appointment with Andrew there are no prepayments required, no bookings needed to be paid for in advance. He also doesn’t charge additional fees under TAC and Workcover programs. Many Chiropractors spend 5-10 mins with a patient per appointment, at Advanced Health we allocate 30-45 minutes for each appointment at the average industry price of $90.
